ComfyZone: evolving a commerce platform across separate phases

The project

ComfyZone is a furniture-store project with distinct stages in its history. The original osCommerce work began in 2007, followed by a Magento upgrade in 2017. A separate support phase was described from 2021.

The engagement

I worked on the commerce project across those separately recorded phases. The team's work included the original store, its later platform upgrade and project support.

For an existing business, a platform change is part of the life of the application. The project provides a useful example of revisiting a system and its operating needs as the technology changes.

What the project demonstrates

The chronology matters: the original implementation, a later upgrade and support are distinct contributions. They describe the evolution of a business system without implying one uninterrupted engagement or attributing every phase to the same technology.
